Program Overview
The individually designed interdisciplinary studies major gives you an opportunity to pursue interests not available as a specific major at Endicott. Offering flexibility, independence, and academic rigor, this option provides qualified students with the opportunity to draw on the resources of the entire Endicott curriculum, across majors and disciplines, to achieve their academic goals. Examples of recent individually designed majors include cognitive studies, performing arts, community development in a global context, and social action advocacy.
If you are interested in designing your own major, you will consult with the chair of humanities, who will guide you and suggest that you seek advice from other professors in formulating the curriculum. A formal proposal is then drafted, and an appropriate faculty member will be assigned to guide you through the program.
