Profile

Dr. Rebeka Rocco received her PhD in Sociology at the University of Central Florida; her M.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University; and her B.S. in Sociology, B.S. in Criminal Justice, and certificates in Criminal Profiling and Crime Scene Investigation at the University of Central Florida. Her research interest primarily focus on cybercrime perpetration, with additional interest in homicide perpetration.

Research

Dr. Rocco's current research focuses on motivations and pathways to cyber-dependent and cyber-enabled crimes. She is also focused on exploring how media accounts of cybercrime perpetration can aid in uncovering motivations and pathways to perpetration, especially given the challenges that are currently present in researching cybercrime perpetration.
